Spoon tray, Qianlong c.1795, with falcon crest, possibly for Carroll
Spoon tray, c.1795, with falcon crest, borne by the American Carroll family, and by Haywood. A service of 1780 is recorded by Tudor Craig, and see also CAP Volume II, p.500, for a cider jug with the full arms of Caroll. Charles Carroll Jr. of Carrollton married in 1799 the daughter of Benjamin Chew; the family is widespread in the United States.
